Premature Ejaculation Premature Ejaculation or PE is a condition where a man ejaculates before his partner achieves orgasm. It is also known as rapid ejaculation, rapid climax, premature climax, or early ejaculation. According to medical experts, most men experience premature ejaculation at least once in their lives. PE affects 25-40% of men in the United States. It may be caused due to poor ejaculatory control, magnesium deficiencies, personal stress, temporary depression, financial matters, unrealistic expectations about performance, a history of sexual repression, or an overall lack of confidence. To achieve better control exercises of the pelvic muscles, as well as serotonergic medications such as Prozac, Zoloft, Celexa, Effexor, Lexapro and Paroxetine are beneficial in treating PE. |
